September 20, 2009
This Week at St. Timothy’s
For the Week Beginning September 20tt, 2009
Did you miss Sunday's sermon? The topic was great and one that we can all learn from. The sermon was on "humility". I pray that God keeps me humble. Is it better to be "right" than "polite"? It is possible to be both. When you are angry or fed up, pray for the right words to express yourself. Sometimes the message is lost in the delivery.
Dear Jesus, as You led the Three Kings to You by the light of a star, please draw us ever closer to You by the light of Faith. Help us to desire You as ardently as they did. Give us the grace to overcome all the obstacles that keep us far from You. May we, like them, have something to give You when we appear before You. Amen
Have a blessed week.

This Week’s MEDITATION
God's Love for Us
When we think of love, it’s tempting to focus on romantic love, but these quotes from Christian writers remind us of God’s love for us, and the commandment to love our neighbors. By reflecting on God’s love, we may be inspired to love our friends and family a bit more, and maybe even learn to love our enemies.
God Loves Us
"God loves each of us as if there were only one of us."
St. Augustine
"Following Christ has nothing to do with success as the world sees success. It has to do with love."
Madeleine L’Engle
"God is love. He didn’t need us. But he wanted us. And that is the most amazing thing."
Rick Warren
