October 11, 2009
This Week at St. Timothy’s
For the Week Beginning October 11th, 2009
As the participants assembled in the lower parish hall for the opening procession, the Grand Marshal set the tone of the homecoming celebration with the following prayer:
Let us pray,
Dear God, we have come into your house, gathered in your name to worship you. We have been blessed with a beautiful day and we thank you.
We also thank you for the homecoming theme... “Revive Us Again”. Revive us in the spirit of the teaching of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and also revive us in the spirit of our predecessors who toiled and sacrificed to build our church. All this we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Have a blessed week.

We pray for those who suffer from any grief or trouble;
That they may be delivered from their distress.

Give to the departed eternal rest.
Let light perpetual shine upon them.

This Week’s MEDITATION
“I want to love you without clutching, appreciate you without judging, join you without invading, invite you without demanding, leave you without guilt, criticize you without blaming, and help you without insulting. And if I can have the same from you then we can truly enrich each other.”
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
