ST. TIMOTHY’S PARISHIONERS are invited to attend the Blessing of the Palms on the lawn of East Washington Heights Baptist Church today, at 9:15 a.m.
 
TODAY'S FORUM will feature a presentation on wills and estate planning.  The presenter is Sanya Armfield, Esq., a solo practitioner.  Please join us. Thank you!
 
JOURNEY TO ADULTHOOD (J2A) will meet today (Palm Sunday) at 10 a.m. Thank you!  
 
LENTEN GLEANERS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.  Please pick up your gleaner from the table located in the Narthex (Lobby).  Thank you!
 
GLORY TO THE LORD!  Each Easter the parishioners assist to beautify the church with the purchase of Easter lilies.  The cost per lily is $19.00.  The forms to purchase lilies are in the Narthex.  Please fill out one form for thanksgiving and one for in loving memory.  Place the completed form(s) and check in Dorothy Robinson’s mail box in the church office or in my hand or Marjorie Pinchback's hand. Today is the last day to turn in your  form.  The lilies will be delivered to the sick and shut-ins and the area nursing homes on Easter Sunday.  Please let me know if you can be that person to deliver Easter lilies. A STEWARDSHIP PRAYER - All generous God, you poured yourself out in creation, were totally spent in Christ’s death on the cross, and continue to give yourself through the gift of your Holy Spirit to us.   Give us generous hearts; that, in response to your love, our lives may overflow in thanksgiving and generosity, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen

HOLY WEEK WITNESS...Episcopal Bishops from Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, and Newark invite everyone in their dioceses to Washington to pray for the victims of gun violence across our country in a public stations of the cross.  All persons are invited to participate in this public liturgy, to pray and offer public witness.  Please plan to arrive at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25th in the park across from St. John's Lafayette Square.  From there we will walk to the National Mall, praying as we go.  The Stations liturgy will conclude at the Capitol.  Those who wish to meet with political leaders to ask for specific legislative action will proceed to the Rotunda.  At approximately 2 p.m. everyone will assemble in the Library of Congress for remarks from church and government leaders in support gun reform and legislative actions pending in Congress.  More information is available from the Diocese of Connecticut
 
ST. TIMOTHY’S ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT SPONSORED BY MoST will be held after the 10:15 a.m. service on Easter Sunday, March 31.  All children 12 years old and younger are eligible to participate.  Please meet in the Parish Hall on Easter for instructions.  All men of the Church are reminded to bring one dozen hard-boiled, colored eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt.  If you have any questions, you can contact any member of MoST.  Thank you, Julius Copeland
 
THE ST. TIMOTHY’S BOOK CLUB has decided to read the four books in the BLESSING SERIES by Beverly Jenkins.  If you have not read the first book, “Bring on the Blessings”---GO GET IT NOW.  Then
you can read the second book, “A Second Helping”.  The story continues with Bernadine Brown who saved the historical town of Henry Adams, Kansas, from financial ruin and found loving homes for five needy children.  Now Bernadine becomes involved in so much more.  With the help of the loving and
caring people of Henry Adams, Bernadine continues to rebuild Henry Adams.  Enjoy the book(s) and come have fun when the book club meets on Friday, April 19 at 6:30 pm.  Thank you, Sharon Wardlaw, Chair, Social and Cultural Committee and Pat Johnson, Book Club Coordinator
 
CAMP EDOW 2013: RISING 4TH-8TH GRADERS ARE INVITED TO DIOCESAN SUMMER CAMP - Sunday, July 28-Friday, August 2, at Lions Camp Merrick in Nanjemoy, MD.  Activities include canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, swimming and more!  Join us for faith, friends, and fun!  Information is available at edow.org/camp or like Camp EDOW on Facebook!
 
WE'RE ALSO ON THE HUNT FOR SOME AWESOME ADULTS who would like to volunteer to be camp counselors!  If you know someone who is 18 years or older, has graduated high school, and who would be willing to go through the Safeguarding God's Children program, be subject to a background check, and ready to be part of a faith community, please send them to the Camp EDOW website to learn more and find a staff application!
